RECEIPT / HANDLING / STORAGE / DISPOSAL OF PRODUCTS
DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE
The long presence and the high-quality products and services of Agrocommercial IKE, have now established the company in the Greek market. Its facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and meet all hygiene requirements regarding the receipt, storage and disposal of its products, processes which the staff carries out in the most meticulous manner.
Inspections of received goods are divided into 4 types. Type 1 Control includes quantitative, visual and temperature control of the products. Those that do not meet the specifications are placed in special storage places with the corresponding labeling so that they are clearly separated from the rest of the compliant products.
Type 2 Control includes quality control in the Company’s laboratory by special control and evaluation guides and with the use of appropriate instruments. In the event that the product does not meet the required specifications, the Supplier is informed electronically and the DS-DD05 – Non-Compliant Handling procedure is activated.
Type 3 Control includes sending a sample to an external laboratory for microbiological and/or chemical testing.
In Type 4 Control, the received goods are checked, based on pre-agreed product quality specifications.
The received products are identified by the details of the lot, the supplier, the description of the material, the date of packaging, the quality classification, their quantitative recording and the marking of suitability for management.
The company makes sure to continuously develop in all sectors, which is why it has the appropriate storage areas, sufficient weighing means for recording the products as well as sufficient means for handling them.
The staff takes care of marking the products with care and responsibility, in order to separate them according to the quality category. Agrocommercial IKE has main warehouses and cold rooms for its basic products as well as storage areas for products not compatible with the desired quality.
The company has three warehouses:
- The main warehouses – cold rooms.
- The in-store storage area, for products incompatible with the desired quality category.
- The isolation area outside the store, for products that do not meet the quality specifications.
Orders are placed through the B2B electronic platform (designed and built by the company) by e-mail, by phone or directly at the company’s premises.
The Company’s trained personnel check the condition of the products before loading. After their availability is checked, an electronic entry is made to complete the order check. The orders are then loaded either by the customer, by warehouse staff or by members of the porters’ union.
The Warehouse staff collects the invoices of the orders to be delivered and the products are checked against the issued invoice. The Warehouse Manager confirms the shipped and remaining quantities per product and quality category.
Agrocommercial IKE guarantees the quality of its products and services based on strict evaluation criteria. Its operating procedures are organized and implemented with the customer in mind and the aim of immediate service, thus achieving the company’s expansion into new markets in Europe and the Balkans.
